I have a degree in computer science, I know what ping is. I have never played a game that refuses to let you join servers for having over 200 ping. Even competitive games like Insurgency don't do that. It's been a year since I got this dumbass reply, so hopefully this has changed since then, but a year ago I was in Australia and if I wanted to play with my American friends I didn't have a choice but to play on 200 ping servers

Why can't I join servers with high ping to play with my friends lol? Is the netcode really that terrible that you have to boot everyone with a ping of 200+ off the game?
